AIMPLAS, is a reference Technology Centre for biopolymers with more than 20 years’ experience in this field and the mission of offering innovation in plastics for a better future.

The Seminar organized by AIMPLAS will bring together the main advances in R&D&I, as well as global solutions for the entire value chain: raw material suppliers, processing companies, machinery manufacturers and end users (who are of vital importance in this edition).

Public authorities responsible for environmental policies focus their efforts on promoting legislative frameworks that benefit the bioplastics market in keeping with the European Plastics Strategy and the economic model based on the circular economy.
Bioplastics are an alternative to conventional plastics in most industries and have created great expectation in society, industry and research due to the need to offer more sustainable solutions and the many application possibilities of these materials.
The programme includes renowned speakers who will demonstrate and analyse political frameworks for the bioeconomy, the circular economy model and the implications of bioplastics at Spanish and international level.

An overview will also be provided of the latest innovations in biodegradable plastic materials and/or plastic materials obtained from renewable sources; success stories from leading companies; standardization, certification and LCA; biotechnology and the sustainable waste recovery options offered by these materials.

All participants will be able to create network contacts; these features will be expanded for those attending as sponsors.
